The project «Making Cross Cultural Friends» is developed by a Grundtvig Learning Partnership for the period 2008-2010, in which the Hellenic Culture Centre is a partner amongst adult education organizations from Spain, Poland, France, England and Italy. The project aims at increasing the cultural awareness of the organizations’ learners and staff and helping reduce barriers presented by the lack of understanding, using three different types of activities:
- Learning packages, which are produced by each country involved and can be used for cross cultural learning in the fields of language, cultural tradition, food, music, etc.
- Mobilities, which are organized in the different countries and allow for a great mix of culture to come together and experience other cultures
- A Pen Partners Scheme, which is developed between the partners and allows learners from each country to exchange intercultural dialogue in the form of electronic or paper based commun ication.
